There was an an official launch to the 2015 Breaking Boards, Breaking Chains campaign in Nelson this week! One of the leaders of the campaign, Stacy Devries, went out and got pledges for 36 boards representing the 36 million in slavery!
For those that don’t know about Martial Art for Justice, they foster fundraising and awareness events like the Breaking Board Breaking Chains campaign (BBBC) raising money to fight for those who are unable to fight for themselves and to take action against global injustice.
We believe that annual events such as BBBC help teach students, young and old, about justice and its importance in our society, emphasizing the role that martial artists can play in building a more peaceful world and being champions of freedom and justice.
