Arnis, also known as Kali or Eskrima/Escrima, is the national martial art of the Philippines. The three are roughly interchangeable umbrella terms for the traditional martial arts of the Philippines (“Filipino Martial Arts”, or FMA), which emphasize weapon-based fighting with sticks, knives, bladed weapons, and various improvised weapons, as well as “open hand” techniques without weapons.
Our Escrima are hand made from the Philippines and are crafted with care out of the finest materials. Being hand made each Escrima Stick will have it’s own characteristic and you will find very hard to find to sticks exactly alike. Escrima Sticks will vary in many different weights, thicknesses and wood density, so please ensure to speak with your instructor on which style is best suited for you.
You will find a wide range of Escrima Sticks here at Bushido, with many intricate burnt designs to suit your personality. Our Escrima sticks are made with 100% Rattan and Bahi wood. Rattan is a light weight and flexible wood, which are excellent for quick and speedy attacks/strikes. Bahi is more weighted and dense wood from the heart a Palm Tree and made of a porous material, which tends to slightly dent on impact, making it less prone to shattering than other styles of wood.
