Just as the sport of martial arts would be lifeless without its athletes, fight gear can only serve as efficiently as its owner demands it to. The equipment you wear is only a tool for what you provide from within, helping you push through adversity and rise above your competitors. Bushido is fortunate enough to sponsor athletes that exemplify what it takes to harness their tools and make it to the top.
Introducing Josipa Kafadar, a taekwondo fighter that manifested her dream to represent her country on the podium from an early age of just four years old. Josipa’s determination is unmistakable as she relentlessly crosses off milestones from her list, all starting with attendance at both the 2015 Canadian Open and 2016 Junior World Championships, with no signs of slowing down. As of last week, she can add the 2019 Senior National Championships to her growing list of accolades.
Josipa gives us the rundown below in her own words.
“The 2019 Senior National Championships were held in Montreal, Quebec. This nationals would reward the champions of each weight class with a spot on the national team for the Senior World Championships (to be held in Manchester, England) and Universiade (to be held in Naples, Italy). Because of such an experience up for grabs, Canada’s prestige gathered to establish their skills in hopes of achieving a national team spot. I had 4 matches to reach the top of the podium. I was also announced female MVP of the competition.”
We’d like to give a big congratulations to Josipa – don’t stop until you reach the top!
